I’ve been finding some really cool things online recently, and I’ve decided that they’re worth sharing. I’m hoping to do a blog roundup post about once a week (depending on my schedule and what’s turning up in the world).
To start things off, I want to direct you to these three posts:
1. Meg Goodmanson of Spirit Moves Dance introduces us to the idea of Contact Improv, a fascinating form of dance. Her post, “Dancing on the Edge,” includes YouTube videos of Contact Improv in progress and reflects on her first experience at a CI workshop. Whether you dance or not, I think you’ll find the whole thing worth a look.
2. Visit the islands of Vanuatu with Leanne Chapman as she works toward her goal of open water diving. In “Be Brave…At Your Own Pace,” Leanne describes the slow, step-by-step process of gaining the courage to reach her dream despite fears around her diving mask. Not only is her post a great look at how we can achieve things in small pieces (very Kaizen-Muse!), it’s the first in a series of posts that will detail how this process goes for her.
3. Gina Rafkind visits the beach when she feels anxious, but not for the reasons you might guess. In “Relieve Anxiety with Beach Art,” she talks about the therapeutic benefits of interaction with nature. She includes some lovely photos as part of a how-to, and there are some great ideas in the comments.
Enjoy!
