Nancy Norbeck and Kaizen Muse Creativity Coaching go together like a hand in glove. I’ve witnessed Nancy’s own considerable creative talents soar using KMCC tools and methods. Her thoughtful, caring, coaching style and warm sense of humor and wit help her clients rediscover their own joy and success in the creative process.
I truly enjoyed working with Nancy, who is wonderfully patient and kind. She met me where I was on my creative journey and helped me to envision where I wanted to go next.
I took a course called Humanities with Ms. Norbeck 4 years ago. At that time, I just came to U.S as a freshman in high school. Ms. Norbeck was always sensitive to my needs and helped me in improving my English skills through my high school education. I’m glad to have her as a teacher and now a friend.
Nancy is a dedicated writer and teacher, and very talented at both. She works hard and is a delightful person to know.
Nancy’s follow through with students and families is superior, as are her professional integrity and work ethic. Nancy approaches her responsibilities with efficiency, care and effectiveness. Nancy reaches and connects with each of her students. It is easy to see how much she cares about her children, as her genuine kindness is a rare quality to find.
I am sad that this class is coming to an end, because it has inspired and sustained my on-going work and personal journey in so many wonderful ways. “Thank you from the bottom of my feet!” as Winnie the Pooh would say.
Nancy’s classes were always happy places of learning: gently controlled environs where students worked intently on their individual written creations, where they felt safe and free to express themselves, and where Nancy herself moved quietly from student to student, offering encouragement and suggestions for their writing.
I respected Nancy’s professionalism and dedication to teaching as a colleague and her sharp intellect and sense of humor as a friend while we worked together at The Pennington School. She is organized, focused, and quite creative and highly skilled at building such talents with the students she worked with.
I was Editor-in-Chief of the Pitkin Review in 2008 and 2009, and Nancy did such an excellent job as my Head Fiction Editor during my first semester that I asked her to stay on for a second. She is detail-oriented, knows the craft, and is excellent at solving logistical issues that arise quickly and accurately.
